Owners of permanent virtual legacy QTAKE licenses can temporarily boost the modules in their permanent legacy license pool to equivalent QTAKE Pro modules by using the PRO UPGRADE module. You can optionally add other modules, such as X4, FORENSIC, GRADE etc. on top - watch the YouTube video. Once the rental period for the Pro Upgrade expires, your permanent legacy license reverts to its original legacy state and functionality.
QTAKE Pro is the actively developed version of QTAKE, built on current Apple technologies and supported by the latest updates and security improvements. Legacy QTAKE reached end of maintenance in May 2024 and end of support in January 2026.

Available directly from the QTAKE Rental Shop. You can combine rental durations to match your project schedule. The Rental Shop calculates the final price based on the selected modules, duration, and availability of your legacy license pool.
One-year and three-year plans are available through authorized QTAKE resellers. Unlike the new QTAKE Pro plans, the PRO UPGRADE 1-year and 3-year rentals do not include the unique Hibernation feature. However, you can purchase add-on QTAKE Pro modules under their own long-term plans, and those plans include Hibernation. For example, if you own a permanent HDx2 license and use long-term PRO UPGRADE to access QTAKE Pro, you can separately purchase a long-term STREAM or X4 QTAKE Pro plan that includes Hibernation.
Tip:
As a general rule, if you expect to use PRO UPGRADE or any additional modules for more than three or four months per year, a long-term plan is more cost-effective than repeated short-term rentals. If you’re unsure which option is right for you, contact QTAKE or your authorized reseller.
PRO UPGRADE is available only for permanent virtual legacy QTAKE licenses. If your permanent license is still paired with a physical dongle, you won't be able to see the PRO UPGRADE module in the Rental Shop. Watch this YouTube video to see how it works.
The process is simple, it takes just a few clicks to add the Pro Upgrade to your QTAKE 1.x license and start using the latest features and benefits.
Log in to the QTAKE Rental Shop and select the QTAKE Pro rental configurator. You must have a permanent virtual legacy license in your account to use PRO UPGRADE. If you have only a physical dongle-based license, contact us before proceeding.
Select Enable QTAKE 1.x pool. The Rental Shop will automatically add the PRO UPGRADE module to your order.
Next, select the legacy license modules you want to use with QTAKE Pro, along with any additional QTAKE Pro modules you need.
Once you have selected your modules and rental duration, choose the operators eligible to activate the license.
After checkout is completed, the license will become available directly in QTAKE Pro for the selected eligible operators. They simply need to log in to QTAKE Pro with their account and activate the license when prompted.
